We often hear people talk about finding their voice, but what exactly does that mean?
Our voice is not about how we pronounce our words.
Nor is it about about the content we share.
Finding our voice is about showing up, and through our actions and our language, convey that we are here and we have something to share.
It’s not about talking a lot, and it’s not about telling someone what to do.
It’s about courage. It’s about standing out from the crowd and allowing the light to shine on us for a few moments.
It’s definitely not about ego, or about how great we are.
It actually comes down to being humble, and brave, and sharing what we have learned for ourselves.
It is about showing up when we commit to showing up, and sharing our spirit and energy with those who chose to listen to us.
What we say may touch people, or it may not.
What we say may inspire people, or it may not.
What we say may mean something very deep to another person, or it may mean nothing at all to anyone except ourselves.
Finding our voice means we speak our truth regardless of whether it is anyone else’s truth or not.
We can speak our truth in many different ways. We speak our truth with our actions and our presence as much as we speak it with our voice.
