We usually don’t like change.
It causes a disruption in our lives.
Disruption often brings with it some uncomfortable situations.
Yet that is exactly how growth takes place.
When we stretch ourselves beyond what we’ve done before.
When we push ourselves to move into new areas we have never visited before.
It all means we are growing.
And growth means disruption.
Disruption can be a force for good.
And it can mean that your job will no longer exist in a few years.
Disruption means we have to learn new things.
Which left to ourselves, perhaps we would never learn.
Growth pulls us forward into new ways of being.
It changes our world.
And it causes the world to change around us.
The real question is whether we will embrace growth or not?
Do we meet disruption head on and allow it to take us someplace new?
Or do we build walls around us, hoping they will keep all change from entering our lives?
Yet nothing we can do will stop the growth that is a natural part of life.
Our life today is far different than it was five, ten or twenty years ago.
Who knows what it will be five years from now?
