We all value knowing where we are going.
What direction our life will take.
We want to settle down and be secure in a steady world.
Life usually has other plans for us.
The twists and turns that we experience are almost never foreseen.
The bumps along the way cause us to move in different directions.
Where we end up is usually somewhere beyond our imagination.
How could we have guessed where the path we took would lead?
It is common to start off with some kind of plan in mind for our lives.
It is more common for Life to throw out those plans.
Life has it’s own ideas for us.
Life unfolds around us in ways we could never have seen.
And that is what makes our lives so interesting.
It is not when our plans work out exactly as we thought.
The richness of Life is in the unexpected.
In the little and big ways that Life changes our minds, our path, and our lives.
We like to think that we are the architects of lives.
And we are, and yet we are not.
Yes, we choose how we respond and show up to everything that Life brings to us.
And we have no control and no conception of what Life will bring to us.
In the end, we can only surrender to Life’s magic.
Taking what comes one step at a time.
