Sometimes, we lose ourselves.
We keep from speaking up.
From saying what we need.
Or giving ourselves what we desire.
Our boundaries might become porous.
Other might take more from us than we truly want to give.
There are so many ways in which we disappear.
IT IS ALL ABOUT NOT SHOWING UP FOR OURSELVES.
We abandon who we are and what we are here for.
And we do it over and over again.
So what stops us from showing up for ourselves?
From being truthful and sovereign over our actions?
There are so many ways in which this happens.
How do we come back and truly be here now?
THIS IS WHERE WE MUST DIVE IN DEEP TO OUR INNER HEALING.
To uncovering the patterns and traumas that rule our lives.
For this did not start as adults.
These habits and routines are something we have carried with us for most of our lives.
From the time we are very young, we lose ourselves so that we may feel safe.
That we may please others so they won’t hurt us.
To ensure that they will feed us and take care of us.
SO WE CAN AVOID THE PAIN OF BEING HURT OR BEING LEFT ALONE.
Our sense of belonging and connection are tainted by these unconscious tendencies.
Any unresolved pain, grief, or loss will be carried forward whether we realize it or not.
To fully learn to show up for ourselves is not about discipline or strategy.
It is about presence.
Our presence to the guilt, shame, embarrassment or fear we all feel or have experienced.
THESE ENERGIES KEEP US FROM BEING ABLE TO BE STILL AND AWARE.
They force us to be distracted and scattered.
For the idea of being truly present to these feeling is terrifying.
We would do almost anything to avoid being in the middle of our deepest pain.
Yet that is where our liberation is.
To overcome our struggles and regain our sovereignty we must face the very thing that scares us the most.
Our core wounds.
ONLY ONCE WE HAVE COME TO PEACE WITH THEM CAN WE BEGIN TO BE FREE OF THEM.
When we have compassion for ourselves and what we’ve been through, only then can we begin to release the energies we have been holding on to for so long.
Through releasing those energies can we start to create new habits and new patterns.
Ones that allow us to voice our needs and hold stronger boundaries.
So we can begin to slowly step into our power and our dignity.
OUR FEARS WON’T GO AWAY.
Will we still carry them with us for the rest of our lives.
But they won’t be in control of us anymore.
And our authentic selves can begin to emerge.
Allowing our true light to shine as it was meant to.
To hold ourselves up without anger or regret.
AND LISTEN TO OUR HEART’S SONG FOR THE FIRST TIME.
While we hear our souls calling us forth to a better future.
More importantly, showing up in the present moment in a way that honors us.
So we may no longer lose ourselves to the shadows of the past.
Where in your own life have you lost yourself?
Can you be present to the pain that caused you to do it in the first place?
