Problems are all around us. From violence, to ecological crisis, to poverty, it seems that the world is unfixable. The issues are so huge, how can we, as individuals, make any difference?
Ultimately, we do not have any control over what happens in the world around us. But we do have control over what happens inside of us. If we make any difference in the world today, we must start with our own world, the one within us.
When we make the effort to heal, to be at peace, to move towards feeling more whole, to live more authentically, to embrace our similarities and celebrate our differences, to remember that the people in this world are our brothers and sisters, that when that occurs inside of us, it will eventually manifests all around us.
To reach the tipping point, the point at which the circle of people around us affects enough other people, who affect enough other people, who affect enough other people, we must start with who is right in front of us.
That is something we can do. We start where we are, we work on ourselves, and we allow others to see the difference in us, inspiring them to work on themselves. Soon we have a following. Then a movement. Then a new world.
