Trust is not an easy thing to cultivate.
We try to trust that things will work out.
Sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t.
So what exactly are we trusting in?
Are we trusting that everything will go the way we want?
Or are we trusting that things will ultimately work out for the best?
It is not necessarily about trusting in the Divine, or God, or the Universe.
It may not even be about trusting in ourselves.
Perhaps it is about trusting in life.
Trusting in perfection of life’s currents.
Trusting in the wider perspective that views life in a lifetime of events, not in a day or a week or a month.
Maybe we are all just learning that regardless of what we think we want, we are receiving what we need.
Not just what we need to get by in life.
Not just what we want to feel better.
Maybe it is all about receiving the situations and events that we need to grow and become more of who we are.
To evolve into the person we have yet to become.
Perhaps we are just trusting in the future and what it holds for us.
To trust when there is no evidence to trust is faith.
Maybe we are all just learning to cultivate more faith in our lives?
Not faith that we will receive some reward.
Faith that things are actual perfect just the way they are unfolding before us.
That life is happening exactly the way it is supposed to.
Even when is doesn’t feel like it.
Especially when it doesn’t feel like it!
Perhaps life is not here to bend to our will.
Perhaps we are here to bend to the will of life itself?
To not resist what life brings us?
To live in acceptance of what is?
Who knows, maybe when we do that, everything will work out the way we want.
Maybe when we learn to accept the way life is, with all the warts and difficult moments, maybe then things will work out for the best?
Are there places in life in which you can learn to trust and accept more?
