We don’t always get things right.
Even when we have the best of intentions, we can still mess up.
Yet that is not a reason to condemn ourselves.
It is not a reason to punish ourselves.
We are human and we make mistakes.
Yet being human is not an excuse for being reckless.
It is not a reason to be careless, callous or uncompassionate.
Everyone makes a mistake now and then.
Remembering that we have made our own mistakes helps us to stay humble.
To be a little more forgiving of others.
And to provide a helping hand when needed.
Yet when we see someone operating out of self-centeredness or lack of caring, then we have a right to say something.
Then the onus is on us to speak up or do something.
Not for our own gain, but for the best interests of all concerned.
We are hear to learn and grow from our experience.
Some of us take a little longer to learn our lessons than others.
Time is not the issue.
The direction we are moving in, is.
If someone is heading for a metaphorical cliff and we see it, it is our duty to step in and help.
They may not want our help or advice, and that is okay.
As long as we offered it.
We do what we can and move on with our lives.
Remembering what it was like for us when we were in their shoes.
So let’s be a little more forgiving, a little more understanding with each other.
For even a little bit of kindness can go a long way.
Is there someone in your life you be a little kinder to? Even yourself?
